Job Title: Shift Supervisor
Location: Wrexham
Pay rate: £30,000 +
Hours: 4on 4off, 2 days 2 nights
Role Summary:
As a Shift Supervisor at Ecovyn, you are at the helm of our manufacturing excellence, steering both Extrusion and Materials Processing units towards optimal performance. Your mission is to deliver products that not only meet but exceed our quality standards, ensuring they leave the factory on time, every time. Through effective people management, meticulous attention to daily operations, and a keen eye on production KPIs, you play a critical role in our pursuit of manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily operations across Extrusion and Materials Processing units, ensuring seamless production workflows.
Drive the achievement of KPIs focused on production output, equipment utilisation, and product quality.
Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standards, coordinating prompt repairs as needed.Quality and Compliance:
Uphold the organisation's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Policies across all operations.
Collaborate with the Production Manager to enforce quality control protocols, ensuring all products meet our rigorous standards.
Conduct regular audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and safety.People Management:
Lead, train, and develop a competent production team capable of meeting and exceeding production goals.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork, ensuring all team members are fully trained and compliant with operational procedures.
Manage shift scheduling, including break cover and absence management, to maintain optimal staffing levels.Planning and Reporting:
Prepare and present reports for daily production meetings, highlighting achievements, challenges, and action plans.
Complete all required paperwork and documentation, ensuring accurate records of production metrics, training, and maintenance activities.
Analyse production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimise production efficiency.Qualifications:
Proven experience as a supervisor in a high-volume production environment, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency and quality improvement.
Formal qualification in manufacturing operations supervision or related field is advantageous.Additional Requirements:
Flexibility to cover different shifts and perform tasks beyond the normal job scope as needed.
Willingness to undergo training in new techniques, materials, and equipment as industry standards evolve.
Availability to provide cover for special circumstances requiring work outside normal hours, with prior notice.Health & Safety:
