The key roles of this post will include:
Develop and manage expenditure programmes to improve and maintain the Rights of Way Network and to ensure their delivery in accordance with the Council's policies and practices.
Assist in promoting the recreational use of the countryside through events, publications, and by encouraging voluntary effort.
Assist the team leader in the preparation of reports and support for legal submissions and rights of way committee.
Ensure the rights of way network helps encourage the use of sustainable modes for commuting by providing suitable links and surfaces. Essential Knowledge:
Council processes and relevant policy understanding.
Rights of Way legislation and practice.
Understanding of legal details.
