We Build Recruitment are on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor based in or around Purfleet-on-Thames to join a well established Civil Engineering company who are continuing to grow.
Projects can be a mixture of Commercial, Industrial or Residential but regardless of the industry it will require you to have experience with RC Basements and Frames, Groundworks, Civil Engineering and Hard Landscaping.
The salary is negotiable and dependant on experience and they are willing to be very flexible in what they’re looking for. Ideally, they’re looking for someone that has experience and can work under their own steam but aren’t concerned whether you’re a senior or not. In terms of a salary, they’re looking at £50-60,000. Should you be looking for a little more then that, it’d still be worth a call.
Job Role:
* Prepare cost plans and tender documentation using various forms of measurement and contracts with effective cost and value management.
* Supply chain management and payment to ensure the programme is maintained to schedule
* Manage and prepare both tender and contract documentation.
* Assist Estimating and Operations with developing bid submissions
* Price and prepare financial reports and cashflow forecasts throughout the duration of contracts and provide general post contract cost management and control.
* Forecasting and cost/value reporting
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Qualifications in Quantity Surveying are preferred but not essential
* You must have prior experience with RC Basements and Frames, Groundworks, Civil Engineering and Hard Landscaping
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Strong time management skills to ensure you meet agreed deadlines
* Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite
* An SMSTS/SSSTS OR CSCS (black)
* Any knowledge on CESMM4 is also useful
