The company
Inside Construction have been appointed to recruit an Assistant Project Manager for a management/main contractor who partners with companies across the globe to provide sustainable projects. They work with clients in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, nuclear, power and aviation industries across the UK and offer a management service for new build, refurbishment, and maintenance projects.

The role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the management of small-scale EPCM pharma projects based on site in Barnard Castle.
The Assistant PM will work closely with the project team to ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting objectives related to schedule, budget, and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within the dynamic field of EPCM project management.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Coordination and Planning - Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets under the guidance of the Project Manager.
* Procurement and Vendor Management - Assist in the procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, and purchase order management.
* Project Execution Support - Support the Project Manager in overseeing project execution, monitoring progress, and identifying potential risks or issues.
* Quality Assurance and Compliance - Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
* Team Collaboration and Communication - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project objectives and priorities.
The Person
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project/Construction Management, or related field.
* On a path to achieving Chartered Engineer CEng status or equivalent
* Prior experience in project management or related roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
* Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practice
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with across stakeholders.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
