Test Cell Technician (130jc) - Kelbrook, Lancashire – up to £33k + Benefits

A specialist aviation company who works on a variety of aviation gas turbines are now seeking to recruit an additional Test Cell Technician to join their rapidly expanding company.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

In this role you will be reporting to the Line Manager, and your responsibility for all operations relating to Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of PT6A & PT6T turbo prop engines in compliance with OEM manuals, and in accordance with Company’s Quality Systems.

So therefore, your duties and responsibilities will include:

* To be competent in all aspects of engine test

* To be competent in all aspects of rigging & de-rigging engines for test

* Limited elements of engine build including Fitting/removing accessories, engine split and component change

* Ensure test cell processes are compliant with regulatory standards.

* Ensure all equipment is calibrated to correct standards.

* Keep abreast of new emerging technologies and be pivotal in the implementation of the future business strategy for test cell environment.

* Ensure compliance with Company’s Quality Systems.

* Maintain the highest 6S standard.

* Ensure compliance with H & S requirements and liaise with H&S manager as necessary.

* Completion of any other tasks as designated by your Line Manager

To be eligible for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

* Experience of working in engine/aircraft maintenance

* test cell environment is also highly desirable.

* Analytical nature with ability to problem solve

* Use of IT and all major MS packages

* Problem solving and proactive approach.

* Goal driven

* Effective communicator all levels

* Committed, focused, enthusiastic

* Assertive and adaptable with good interpersonal skills.

* Ability and flexibility to work any shift changes required through business needs.

* Willingness to undergo additional training to meet developing and changing business needs.

The ideal candidate would probably come from an Aviation Engineering background who is seeking to continue in this sector as they are willing to train and fund candidates to gain their relevant B licences as needed.
