Temp to PermWe are seeking a meticulous and efficient Brokerage Clerk to join our clients parcel service and supply chain company. The Brokerage Clerk will be responsible for handling the administrative aspects of customs clearance and shipment documentation, ensuring timely and accurate processing of parcels and freight. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Customs Documentation:
Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations.
Ensure all necessary paperwork is complete, accurate, and compliant with international shipping laws.
Compliance:
Verify shipment information against regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and inform relevant departments.
Assist in audits and ensure all customs-related records are maintained properly.
Shipment Coordination:
Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
Track shipments and ensure timely delivery by resolving any issues that may arise during the customs process.
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Accurately input shipment and customs data into the company's system.
Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all transactions and correspondence.
Client Interaction:
Communicate with clients to obtain necessary documentation and provide updates on shipment status.
Address client inquiries and resolve issues related to customs and shipment processing.
Support to Logistics Team:
Provide administrative support to the logistics team, including preparing reports and assisting with scheduling.
Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
Problem Solving:
Identify and address any discrepancies or issues with shipments or documentation.
Work proactively to prevent delays and ensure compliance with all regulations.Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or a related field is highly desirable.
Familiarity with international shipping and customs regulations.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass a background check.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Knowledge of customs software and tracking systems is a plus
