Contek are working with a precision Engineering client in Rotherham who manufacture from new product development to highly complex and bespoke parts predominantly for the Oil and Gas sector.
Through growth, and internal promotion - they are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join the team.
We have a day rate of £18.06p/h & £27p/h on nights.
We would require the candidate to work shifts in the future, but would be open to days
CNC Miller Programmer, Setter Operator
Experiences and skills required.
* Ideally apprenticed trained and from a time served engineering background.
* Strong experience programming, setting and operating machines with Hurco controls. (Can run also on ISO G-code, so other systems considered)
* Strong Computer skills
* Competent in self-inspection.
* Able to interpret and work to engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Datum system
* Ability to work in a fast-paced sub-contract environment.
Role
* Programme, Set and run CNC Mills.
* Produce programmes and parts to drawing and at commercially viable cycle times.
* Communicate effectively and aid other when necessary in the setting up process.
* Review new sub contract enquiries to produce accurate cycle times and tooling requirements for the sales team.
* Permanent position available.
* Lots of overtime available
