TM Scotland are excited to be recruiting for our brand new client based in the heart of Wolverhampton who are a leading provider of high-quality red meat products.

Our client is looking for a technical manager within their site based in Wolverhampton, who has worked in a similar environment before to add to their team on a permanent basis, following successful virtual interview with TM and the client directly.

What will your duties and responsibilities be as a technical manager?

* Lead and manage technical, quality assurance, and hygiene teams.

* Monitor and report on technical and quality KPIs, driving continuous improvement.

* Lead HACCP & TACCP programmes.

* Provide an effective Food Safety Plan and Quality Management System.

* Support the operational teams to meet the Food Safety Plan and QMS objectives.

* Manage customer technical team engagement and ensure regular contact.

* Work closely with innovation, operations, and planning teams.

What skills and experience do we require to be successful for the position?

* Food science degree or equivalent.

* Level 4 HACCP, Level 4 Food Safety, Lead Auditor, TACCP/VACCP trained.

* Minimum 5 years in food safety management.

* High Care/Frozen/Chilled Food experience.

* Ability to work well and under pressure in a fast paced environment.

* Have the initiative to proactively address problems.

* Quickly grasp of new concepts or systems and have the ability to work with minima supervision.

* Incident Management, Allergen/Free From, Vulnerability/Integrity experience.

* BRC experience, engineering systems/Commissioning experience.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good numeracy skills.
