Frontline Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Postal Delivery Driver to our client’s team. As a Postal Delivery driver, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to residential and business addresses. This is a physically demanding role (20 000 steps daily) that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
Position: Postal Delivery Driver
Location: Cambridge / CB1
Responsibilities:
- Drive assigned delivery routes to deliver mail and packages in a timely manner
- Load and unload mail and packages from the delivery vehicle (up to 16 kg)
- Sort and organise mail and packages for efficient delivery
- Follow established delivery routes and schedules
- Obtain signatures for registered, certified, and insured mail items
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the delivery vehicle
Skills:
- Valid full manual driver's license with no more than 6 points
- Excellent communication skill
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 16 kg) on a regular basis
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Additional information:
-Pay rate: £12.54 - £13.37
-Shift pattern: 07.30 – 15. 30 – 5 of 6 Monday to Saturday with occasional Sundays
-Assignment: Temp to perm after a successful 4-week trial period
