Excited to be working with my client on a unique role. The client, based near Stirling, provides complete rural estate management services across the whole of Scotland as well as other enterprises such as holiday accommodation and various outdoor sporting lets.
We are looking to expand their finance team with an experienced Bookkeeper on a permanent basis. The client expects the role to be part-time with additional hours being available, however full-time is available for the right candidate.
Due to the nature of the business, the successful candidate will be managing the finance responsibilities for multiple sets of accounts therefore, experience in bookkeeping for multiple clients / a portfolio is required.
The Role:
As the client manages different aspects of multiple estates the role will be varied. The role promises to be varied with the complexities of managing various estates and their idiosyncrasies including chargebacks, partial VAT exemptions and contrasts being carried out between people who are both suppliers and customers. The role includes duties for multiple accounts such as:
* Bookkeeping
* Payroll
* Chargebacks
* Managing utilities contracts
* VAT Returns & Partial VAT Exemption
* General Office Administration
The Candidate:
The client is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, has excellent attention to detail and has initiative as you will be responsible for your own estates / accounts. In addition, you will have:
* A bookkeeping qualification of AAT Level 3 or equivalent.
* Knowledge of double entry & cash book accounting software (essential)
* Experience managing multiple sets of books / accounts within either a group, portfolio or agency (essential)
* Payroll experience (desirable)
* Knowledge of accounting practices
* Strong organisational skills.
Salary: £12 – £17 per hour – up to circa £31k pa
* Due to the location of the office, a drivers licence and own transport is required
