Senior Design Engineer
Utility Scale Solar & BESS - 4 Day working week!
The Opportunity:
Working with a forward thinking, dynamic & rapidly growing Renewable Energy Developer based in central London. We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer or Manager to come in and build out the Design team.
This opportunity is a chance to build from the ground up, working with and design cutting edge technologies, both Greenfield and brownfield projects. All while managing a 4 day week and great work life balance with a people first company!

In your new role you will be responsible for:
* Developing detailed designs for renewable energy systems with a particular focus on Ground Mount Solar and BESS, considering factors such as energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
* Optimise existing renewable energy system designs to enhance performance and reliability.
* Ensure designs comply with all LPA and UK planning regulations related to renewable energy systems across Solar and BESS.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is advantageous.
* Proven experience in designing renewable energy systems within the UK market, with expertise in Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and/or other relevant technologies such as EV and Hydrogen systems.
* Excellent proficiency in design and simulation software(s) such as PVSol, PVSyst, AutoCAD, PSCAD, Matlab or equivalent used in the UK renewable energy sector.
