A very exciting opportunity has arisen to join a progressive tech company based in West Sussex. We are working alongside a company that deal with the marketing, pricing, and purchase of thousands of vehicles every month. They focus on lead generation and develop their own products and tools to provide a first-rate user experience and allow them to process over 100,000 enquiries each month. Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure AWS infrastructure.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation to automate deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure resources.
Collaborate with development teams to implement Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery.
Monitor system performance and reliability, and implement proactive measures to optimise resource utilisation, enhance security, and ensure high availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, including network connectivity, server errors, and performance bottlenecks.
Work closely with software engineers to optimise application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure smooth deployment of new features.
Manage and administer MySQL databases, including design, performance tuning, backups, and replication.
Implement and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration between different systems and services.Requirements:
Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services.
Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and experience with tools like Terraform.
Experience with building RESTful APIs.
Proficiency in managing and optimising MySQL databases.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools such as Bitbucket or AWS.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic, AWS CloudWatch.
Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in AWS environments.
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
