QA Automation Engineer
Hybrid – Fareham (days onsite)
Inside IR35
Rate: £(Apply online only) per day
Initially 6 month contract
VIQU have partnered with an international powerhouse seeking to bring onboard an experienced QA contractor to join their high performing team.
Experience Required for the QA Automation Engineer:
Min 5 years quality assurance experience. This must be hands-on testing experience in manual and automation testing.
Proven experience creating test strategies and test plans. Expertise in identifying the scope of automation and driving automation test development.
Experience with API testing.
Proficiency in programming languages, such as JavaScript, Java, Python and must have the tools knowledge (section below)
Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes.
Attention to detail – Being detail oriented is required as they test web and mobile applications to find ways to improve them and isolate problems.
Good interpersonal skills. Must be a team player. Need strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering and leadership teams.

Automation tools - Playwright, Selenium, PHPUnit, Jest
Postman
Github actions
Mobile automation testing tools for Android, iOS.
Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, Bit bucket, Github
JIRA – Defect tracking and task creation tool
CI/CD QA automation - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for automation workflows.
AWS / Azure experience is beneficial
ecommerce applications experience is beneficial
