Job Purpose:

As a Practitioner within the Integrated Child & Family Service, you will contribute to delivering the universal Start for Life and wider Family Hub offer. Your role will involve facilitating various group activities and providing outreach services to support families, ensuring they can access and engage with Family Hub resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Program Facilitation:

Facilitate evidence-based programs such as the Solihull parenting approach and Wellcom.

* Conduct development clinics, open access stay and play sessions, and peer-to-peer support groups.

*

Family Engagement:

* Work alongside health visitors and other teams to overcome barriers preventing families from accessing Family Hub services.

* Provide outreach services across multiple Hub buildings.

* Familiarize yourself with community assets to guide families to appropriate support, including digital offers.

*

Communication and Liaison:

* Maintain regular communication and updates with Family Hub Lead Practitioners.

* Ensure that delegated tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

*

Safeguarding:

* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.

* Adhere to Local Authority policies and procedures as well as Local Safeguarding Children Board policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

*

Essential:

* Relevant professional qualification in health, social care, education, or a related field.

* Experience working with children and families in a community setting.

* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies.

*

Desirable:

* Experience facilitating evidence-based programs for families.

* Familiarity with digital platforms and virtual service delivery.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Proactive approach to overcoming barriers for family engagement.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Competency in using digital tools and platforms for service delivery.

Working Conditions:
