Salary:                        £73,814 with potential to rise to £86,840 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Head of Reward to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Reward who will have responsibility for leading the design, implementation, and management of our total rewards strategy, including compensation.  They will ensure that the business is aligned with the long-term business goals and strategy.

Every day you will … 

Oversee the management of compensation structures, including salary bands, incentive plans, and executive compensation.
Have accountability for our flexible benefits platform re-procurement, build, test and launch including securing new providers where needed for existing benefits.
Implement our Benefits strategy and design to expand and enhance the current offering.
Oversee the communication of reward programmes to ensure colleagues understand and appreciate the total value of their compensation and benefits.
Implement the 2024/2025 bonus scheme.
Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on all reward-related matters.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?

Extensive compensation and benefits background; or exposure to key topics within similar leadership role
An analytical mindset who is comfortable with data and has experience in headcount/costing/modelling etc.
The ability to run high-cost / high-visibility projects to fixed deadlines.
Extensive experience in policy development & governance alongside the personal credibility/gravitas to ensure we continue to hold firm on reward framework principles.
Wider HR strategy knowledge and the ability to form strong connections between reward/talent/org design etc.
