Job Title: Finance Assistant
Basis: Part Time working 3 days per week - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
Working Hours: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9AM – 5:30PM
Location: Home Based, but with office-based training in Colchester Essex.
Target: Experienced Finance Assistant
Salary: £13,500 annual salary based on working 3 days (22.5 hours) per week.
Timeline: Immediate Interviews and Start.

We offer a broad range of Mortgage Services together with Part Exchange, and Assisted Move. We work with most of the UK’s top 20 housebuilders.
In 2023 we handled over 15,000 mortgage applications and this ensures our Accounts Team are always kept busy. We are now looking to appoint an Finance Assistant on a part time basis to join our Accounts Team working alongside the group Finance Team and reporting directly to our Finance Manager.
Main Purpose of Role:
* To highlight any areas of weakness which affects the efficiency and productivity of the Group.
* To deal with the supplier invoice process.
* Updating and posting of cashbooks.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
* Receiving supplier invoices, checking, posting, getting approval and then payments of supplier invoices.
* The Main accounts payable contact for the business for invoice receipt, queries and authorisation.
* Maintaining a high standard of employee records.
* Receiving customer statements and prepping for posting.
* Dealing with staff expenses, from processing and paying.
* To ensure all Company policies are adhered to, including Money Laundering Guidelines, Data Protection Policy and the Anti Bribery Programme.
* Ad hoc duties and projects as and when required.
Knowledge, skills, and qualifications:
* Previous experience in a Finance environment an advantage.
* Experience of Sage 200 would be an advantage.
* Excellent Microsoft excel skills.
