Automation Engineer

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our marketing leading client in Frome, who are actively seeking to engage an Automation Engineer to join on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

As an experienced Automation Engineer, you will have overall responsibility for maintaining efficient operation of Site Automation (manufacturing).

Upgrade outdated automation equipment.
Develop automation specifications and functional analyses for industrial projects.
Manage contractors and engineers during projects.
Automation expertise to support the engineering team.
Monitor site automation.
On-call duties in rotationWhat you will need to succeed:

Positive attitude and ability to collaborate well with the engineering team and all site departments
Subject matter expert in automation.
Experience working with Schneider equipment or Rockwell.
Managing automation projects
Experience in programming the SCADA system WONDERWARE would be beneficial.
Supervisory experience
Experience of Food industry would be beneficial.
Excellent fault finding and route cause analysis skills.
Understanding of Health & Safety and legislation requirements.
Confident in autonomous decision making and team workingWhat you will receive in return:
