As an Engine Development Engineer you will be part of a team which initiates and tests new Engine and Aftertreatment Concepts to meet Future Regulation.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Development Engineer for new engine concepts within Concept Development
Develop new engine concepts powered by Diesel, Hydrogen or Hybrid (Diesel + ePower)
Expert on Diesel and Powertrain Technology (e.g. Experience with optimizing Hybrid concepts)
Cooperate with simulation- and engineering teams to define new Engine Concepts
Cooperate and align with other departments to optimize the powertrain
Optimize and develop calibration and control strategies for future powertrains
Coordination of engine test and simulation activities within Concept Development
Documentation and analyses of test results, tool usage and possible improvements
Collaboration in project teams
Take initiative to constantly improve tools and processes
As an Engine Development Engineer you will report to the Engineering Supervisor of the Concept Development Team.
Your profile
Bachelor or Master degree in Automotive, Controls or Mechanical Engineering
Min. 10 year experience in the field of Hybrid Powertrain Development, Thermodynamics,
Combustion and/or Control Engineering
Engine testing experience, preferably with Heavy Duty Truck Powertrains Systems
Data acquisition
Data analytics
PUMA / Concerto
Matlab experience (modeling and scripting)
