NHS Patient Catering assistant

Manpower is recruiting Patient Catering Assistants to work for our public sector client, the NHS.

If you are passionate about food and like meeting people, this position provides an excellent opportunity for you as full training is provided. Working as part of a team you will deliver a catering services to patients, staff, students and visitors ensuring standards and processes are maintained and adhered to in accordance with Food Hygiene Legislation

Main responsibilities:

Patient Interaction: Provide daily menu choices to the patients and take their order.

Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve meals to patients in accordance with their dietary requirements and restrictions.

Food Hygiene and Safety: Follow strict hygiene and safety protocols to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, preventing foodborne illnesses.

Requirements

Previous experience in catering or a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and adherence to hygiene and safety standards
Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 2 (Manpower can support with this)
Enhanced DBS check (Manpower pays for the cost of this)

£16.14 Saturdays and nights
£20.95 Sundays and Bank Holidays

Requirements
An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references are required. Manpower pays for the cost of the DBS check.
