Are you ready to take the next step in your career and join a dynamic and expanding engineering company? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Controller to be a key player in our manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities for the Production Controller
Planning, Coordination, and Control:** Oversee the entire production process, ensuring seamless coordination of sales orders and on-time delivery across all manufacturing operations.
Sales Order to Production:** Take sales order information and generate detailed production requirements and planning schedules.
Purchasing and Production Needs:** Establish and manage purchasing and production requirements to meet time and cost criteria for each project.
Multi-Project Management:** Plan and oversee manufacturing requirements across multiple projects simultaneously.
Kitting for Assemblies:** Organise kitting for shop-built assemblies, ensuring all kits are prepared and in a suitable state for manufacture.
Component Procurement:** Coordinate the purchase of necessary components in collaboration with the Supply team.
Purchasing Progress:** Monitor and progress all purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement.
Delivery Documentation:** Organise and manage delivery documentation to meet all customer order requirements.
Liaison with Production Engineering:** Work closely with Production/Manufacturing Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing procedures and address any issues.
Machine Shop Planning:** Assist in the planning and scheduling of tasks for the internal Machine Shop.
Cost Reporting:** Prepare cost-to-date and cost-to-complete reports for accurate financial tracking.
Process Improvement:** Contribute to the development of new procedures, methods, and flow diagrams for the MRP system.
Quality Assurance:** Ensure all documentation complies with BS EN9001 standards.
