Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

My client in Oxford is looking for a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer due to expansion.

The Role:

The role is to support the office Director with the delivery of and leading the mechanical aspect of projects, with career progression to managing projects.

Key Elements:

* Responsible for leading projects (leading the design of mechanical services as a minimum).

* Company representative at client facing and technical meetings.

* Explain and present technical matters and solutions to internal and external project teams and clients.

* Technical specification writing.

* Attend and present own discipline’s design at project design reviews and able to constructively criticise designs of others, giving solutions where issues are perceived.

* Review Company products within own discipline on projects for compliance with quality system requirements and Client brief.

* Management of internal project teams to meet quality and time deadlines.

* Navigation of BIM models using Navisworks software.

* Good report writing skills.
