Summary:
As a Bookkeeper in our Company, you will be responsible for managing the accounting books for a variety of clients. This includes maintaining financial records, completing bookkeeping processes, and ensuring compliance with the latest VAT regulations. You will play a key role in the financial operations of our clients’ businesses, helping them to achieve their financial objectives efficiently.
Bookkeeper - Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
* Ensure accurate financial records are kept and all financial processing is up to date.
* Conduct monthly and quarterly book reconciliations.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with the latest regulations.
* Maintain proficient use of bookkeeping software including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
* Utilize document management systems such as Hubdoc for efficient handling of financial data.
* Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial information and resolve queries.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including new VAT changes.
* Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes.

Bookkeeper - Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice.
* Proficiency in Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks is required.
* Up-to-date knowledge of the latest VAT legislation changes and their implications.
* Proven experience in completing and submitting VAT returns.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with clients directly.
* Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
Bookkeeper - Desirable Skills:
* Ideally AAT Level 4 qualified, or equivalent
* Experience using Hubdoc for document management is highly advantageous.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
