Teacher of History
Location: Rotherham
£150 - £230 per day
Start Date: Sept 2024
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and creative Humanities Teacher to provide cover at an outstanding and supportive school in Rotherham.
ECTs are welcome to apply for this role.
The role is within a popular, diverse school which welcomes progressive teaching and learning styles. You will be delivering engaging lessons to an excellent standard to help maintain academic excellence, whilst working alongside a welcoming staff who pride themselves on collaboration. As this is a longer-term position there is also an opportunity for obtaining a permanent contract for a candidate who excels.
Responsibilities
* Planning and delivery of engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
* Foster a classroom of positivity and encouragement amongst pupils
* Work closely with the leadership team to ensure learning outcomes are being met and progress is being made across the department
* Demonstrating a strong commitment to continued personal development
* Supportive of the school’s Catholic ethos (religious background will not affect application)
Requirements
* Able to provide evidence of secondary classroom experience
* Teaching Certification (or BA in relevant subject)
* A solid grasp on classroom and behavioural management
