Days & Hours: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. 2.00pm – 10.00am, including 8.00pm – 7.00am sleeping shift. Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 8.00am – 8.00pm

About this client/child: Oliver is 5 years old, and lives with his Mummy and twin brother. The boys have a great relationship, and love spending time together, playing and causing a bit of mischief! Oliver enjoys a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts, riding his tricycle, climbing, and trips to the park. Oliver has Cerebral Palsy and is a wheelchair user; he can also use his walker with assistance. Oliver has a speech impairment which at times can cause him frustration, however he works extremely hard on his communication skills. He attends a mainstream school (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday), and is progressing very well. Oliver has two members of his team providing 1:1 support, and there is an opening for a full-time SEN Nanny / Support Worker to join.
Overview of role: On the days when Oliver is at school, you will support him with his morning and afterschool routine, he is dependent on others to meet all his needs, including his personal care. The family are keen for his SEN Nanny / Support Worker to continuously promote his independence and support the development of his self-help skills. His non-school weekdays are dedicated to his therapy programme and rehabilitation, and training is provided by his treating therapists. Oliver requires an SEN Nanny / Support Worker who can be creative, think outside the box, and plan fun and educational activities, whilst also providing real life learning experiences. Oliver generally sleeps very well once settled, and you will only need to assist on rare occasions throughout the night. On offer is a full-time permanent contract, however, the family can consider a job share or part-time employment contracts. Please get in touch with your availability.
