About the Role:
Tradewins is working with a highly regarded secondary school in Barnsley who is seeking a dedicated and passionate Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join their DT team in September 2024. Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality DT lessons that engage and challenge students.
Teach across the full age and ability range, ensuring all students make progress.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback that encourages growth.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a safe and positive learning environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school events as required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and industry trends in DT.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Design and Technology or a related subject.
Proven experience teaching DT at the secondary school level.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).Benefits:
