Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Basildon, Essex.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £30k + Training + Benefits

Our client is an independent and UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy who are now seeking to take on an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their office in the Essex region. This role would suit someone who is looking to join a busy laboratory with a family friendly feel. You will be responsible for carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy, filling in job sheets, and providing support and advice to clients when required. For the successful candidate, our client can offer training into P cert modules, excellent company pension scheme, and excellent holiday package.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Wickford, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Billericay, Rayleigh, Stanford-le-Hope, Grays, Southend-on-Sea, Romford, Hockley, Tilbury.

Experience & Qualifications:
" Holding the BOHS P401 is essential to the role.
" Will have experience working for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy, working hands on within a busy lab.
" Keen eye for detail.
" Excellent organisational skills.
" Able to manage time efficiently.
" Fully versed in HSG 248 guidelines.
" Able to work well independently.
The Role:
" Carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy.
" Ensuring to log all samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the lab.
" Ensuring to store and label samples correctly.
" Carrying out routine quality checks.
" Completing job sheets upon finishing sample analysis, ensuring they re returned to clients in a timely manner.
" Calibrating equipment.
" Ensuring the lab is always clean and tidy.
" Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Liaising with when required, providing excellent advice and support.
