Progress Teachers are working closely with a mainstream Peterborough school to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Teacher of English & Drama to support pupils across KS3 and KS5 strive for academic and personal success.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and impactful lessons for students across KS3 and KS5.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical analysis of texts.
* Regularly monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments, providing meaningful and targeted feedback to support their learning journey.
* Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement effective teaching strategies that will maximise progress for all students.
* Participate in school events, progress evenings, and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Teaching Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE with QTS, or equivalent) with a focus on English Literature / Language is advantageous, but experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered for the role.
* Subject Knowledge: A degree in English Literature or a related field, with a strong understanding of key concepts and a passion for the subject.
* Teaching Experience: Proven experience as a Secondary English & Drama teacher with a successful track record of student achievement is advantageous.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Commitment to Inclusion: A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment that caters to the needs of all students.
* A DBS on the Update Service or Willingness to obtain.
* 2x Satisfactory References.
