As we expand our solar energy installations, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Field Team Manager to oversee a team of solar installers.
The Field Team Manager will be responsible for leading, managing, and supporting a team of solar installers to ensure the efficient and high-quality installation of solar panels. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in solar installation, excellent management skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 12-15 solar installers to achieve performance targets and maintain high morale.
* Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily installation activities to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations meet company standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations. Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
* Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to health and safety regulations. Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
* Training and Development: Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing professional development for team members.
* Resource Management: Manage tools, equipment, and materials to ensure availability and proper maintenance. Optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.
* Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the installation process. Address any concerns and ensure a positive customer experience.
* Reporting: Maintain accurate records of installations, progress reports, and any issues encountered. Provide regular updates to senior management.
* Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or logistical issues that arise during installations.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Field Team Manager or similar role in the solar industry.
* In-depth knowledge of solar panel installation and renewable energy systems.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to solar installations.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
* Relevant certifications in solar installation and safety (e.g., NABCEP) are a plus.
