Facilities & Compliance Manager - Midlands

Location: East & West Midlands / Wales / Northern Ireland

* Up to £65K base salary

The Role:

This role requires the applicant to effectively manage externally employed resources to delivery of a quality, value for money maintenance services and proactively engaging with internal stakeholders and will require a combination of strategic thinking, customer management, leadership skills, effective cost management.

Facilities Management

* Management of external contractors to deliver both hard and soft facilities services and the timely resolution of faults, to a high standard within the Midlands region

* Maintain a secure working environment in line with the requirements of the Arqiva Security Policy in order to protect individuals, information and Arqiva assets.

* Manage the collation of condition assessment reports to identify prioritised CAPEX programs

* Ensure that all known risks are appropriately entered onto the Facilities Risk Prioritisation Tool

* Responsible for seeking and approval of quotes for Facilities in line with delegated authority limits

* Ensure agreed third party contractor SLAs and KPIs are maintained

Compliance

* Assess, manage and maintain effective Health & Safety statutory documentation across Arqiva portfolio

* Responsibility for managing an effective Safety, Health and Environment culture with suppliers used by the Facilities team

* Provide advice and expertise on reporting and internal KPI’s to track progress and performance in relation to compliance

* Work closely with the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Team to ensure interests and objectives are aligned with facilities to deliver benefits and best outcomes for the business

* To ensure all new statutory legislation which is relevant to the facilities team is appropriately communicated and integrated into processes where necessary

* To liaise with engineering, power and other internal teams to gain a wider picture of the overall compliance for sites and inform any gap analysis and remedial works, business cases projects to remedy

The person:

* Experience of asset management principles, risk mitigation, managing supplier performance, managing within team budgets, ensuring statutory compliance tasks are fully delivered

* Proven experience of developing profitable relationships with clients through the ability to build strong relationships and manage their expectations; including soft client relationship management skills, strong influential, interpersonal and communication skills

* Proven track record in managing statutory compliance activities

* Knowledge of Hard and Soft Services facilities equipment and services to deliver to defined SLA's

* Strong knowledge of relevant compliance legislation and experience of delivering across large and diverse portfolio
