Network Specialist
Contract Position
Plymouth (On site)
Leading IT Services Provider in the Defence sector require a skilled Network Specialist to join our existing dynamic Solution Build Practice to join their team in Plymouth.
*** A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered. ***
Your role :
We are looking for a L3 Network Engineer to provide network engineering support of the LAN and WAN across all security domains
The role will primarily involve incident management on our client's live system, on incidents that have been escalated from 1/2nd line resources that are often remotely based environments.
We are looking for dependable and experienced support staff that are not afraid to own problems and incidents and deliver solutions to issues Required skills:
Installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance and diagnostics of all (CISCO) Network Devices and supporting cabling and infrastructure
Level 3 Support for the LAN and WAN relating to Core Services
Network support, advice and recommendations to design change
Updating Design Documentation to capture Network Changes
Detailed knowledge of core network technologies and infrastructure including but not limited to:
CISCO Nexus
Advanced knowledge of routers, switches and firewall product lines and vendor licensing model
CISCO IOS XE
CISCO Switch and CUBE
Firewall IPS/IDS
ACL-ASA Firewall
OPSF
BGP
Spanning Tree
