Assembly Operative

We have a well-established manufacturer who specialise in mechanical goods who are in need of operatives to join their team. Anyone with experience in assembly or with hand and power tools would be considered.
Ideally we are looking for a candidate with experience in assembly, or mechanics in some form, whether that be working experience or in an NVQ/Degree.
The starting salary for this assembly operative role is circa £11.44ph with the potential for the salary to reach £12.20ph if the candidate has enough experience. Overtime is also available at increased rates of pay.
Assembly Operative Duties include: -

Assembly of mechanical & electrical components
Strip down, repair, service & overhaul of products
Reading & working from engineering drawings independently
Carrying out regular inspection work to check for any defects.
Testing of products
Keep a clean & tidy workstation.You must be proficient with various hand & power tools & have previous experience in a similar workshop capacity if you wish to be considered. Ideally having worked in a similar production / fitting role.
The standard working hours are 08:00-17:00, Monday-Friday, you will need to have your own transport due to the remote location of the company.
