Job Overview:
They are seeking a proactive and attentive Fraud and Risk Associate to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and nurturing merchant and bank relationships. Candidate responsibilities will revolve primarily around monitoring and reviewing the portfolio of merchant accounts, building strong relationships, and handling day to day queries and tasks. You should be adept at analysing account performance, identifying areas for improvement, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Risk and Account Management:
· Assist in overseeing and managing a portfolio of merchant accounts.
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
· Collaborate with merchants and acquiring banks.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and effective problem resolutions.
2. Performance and risk Analysis:
· Analyse account data to identify merchant trends, issues, and opportunities.
· Develop insight into client behaviour, transaction patterns, and industry norms.
· Use data-driven approaches to review account performance.
· Identify issues and potential mitigations through analytical techniques.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date account documentation, ensuring banks are provided with such documentation when required.
· Utilize reporting tools to communicate insights and recommendations.
· Ensure merchants are in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Preferred skills for this role:
· Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and acquiring banks.
· Skills in understanding merchant needs and tailoring solutions to meet those requirements.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
· Occasionally identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to analyse merchant performance and draw meaningful insights.
· Can work seamlessly with internal departments to address merchant needs and challenges.
· Be able to navigate and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive merchant experiences.
· Resilience and adaptability to navigate changes and challenges in a fast paced environment..
· Continuous commitment to staying informed about industry trends and advancements.
· Strong organisational and time-management skills.
