Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Salary: Salary upon request
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday/ 6.30am - 2.30pm
The role
Our client is an established supply chain and solutions Business who have been established in their field for over 40 years. Due to growth within the Business they are now seeking an experienced and people focussed Warehouse Supervisor to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
As the Warehouse Supervisor your role will involve managing a warehouse team of up to 25 where you will be responsible for managing the daily warehouse operations, managing the team and being a key player in developing your team and new team members.
In addition, you will work with other departments within the Business, communicating and resolving any problems together. You will be an excellent communicator and thrive in a busy and fast paced environment.

Main duties and responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations within the warehouse.
Monitor and manage team members productivity and accuracy.
Lead and motivate the team fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Work with the team to deliver best in class H&S performance.
Monitor and optimise warehouse process to enhance the overall performance.
Liaise with other departments to fulfil orders to meet customer demands and SLAs
effectively.
Provide regular reports and updates to the management team on all activities and
performance metrics.
Use clarity to help plan jobs and overall costs.
Train and further development new members of the team to deliver warehouse
requirements.
Ensure all areas have the necessary tools and materials to carry out their duties.
To ensure that all team members on site operate within all current legislation.
Support initiatives and continuous improvement culture.
Support the Management Team in their regular meetings and reports to the customer.
Working with planning manager and to manage resource in line with volumes.
Support the personal development of people across the contracts within a framework of job descriptions, competency, and skills matrix.
Skills and experience sought
Experienced in Warehouse Management Systems
Warehouse Operations experience.
Significant people management experience having previously worked at a supervisor level
ILM Level 2 in Leadership and Management (Desired)
