American Concrete Products is a leading manufacturer of quality concrete products for various industries. We are seeking a Shipping Coordinator who will take customer orders, plan daily logistics and provide other customer service functions for valued customers.
Responsibilities:
Take customer orders and execute delivery of product.
Work with in-house and out of house drivers to plan number of loads daily.
Communicate with Quality Control staff to ensure product is ready to ship.
Answer and return Customer phone calls in a timely manner and handle issues swiftly and professionally.
Manage relationship with outside trucking broker(s) to maintain service quality, capacity, and freight budget.
Address product quality or service gaps with Staff/Vendors and implement procedures to prevent future instances.
Assist with the management of Customer receivables/credit to minimize impacts on future shipments.
Requirements
Prior experience in similar role required
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) (outside customers and inhouse staff)
Strong computer experience and knowledge in MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Organizational skills
Ability to multitask
