We have an exciting opportunity as a temporary Associate People Business Partner to start ASAP for 3 months. This position will be working full time and is paying £19.28ph. This position offers hybrid working; however, you will be required to attend the site in Milton Keynes occasionally.

About the Role

The role is based in People Services reporting to the People Services Delivery Manager. You will be responsible for acting as a Senior Adviser and working closely with the People Business Partner, offering support to managers and employees through complex processes or enquiries. You will act as a role model and escalation point for the more complex queries from front-line advisers, taking opportunities to share knowledge and build the skills and confidence of the Adviser population.

Key Responsibilities

Provide complex employment law, policy advice and support to colleagues and managers on a number of people related matters in line with service level agreements. Support managers and employees through HR processes at the informal stage.
Instil best practice and consistency by providing ER advice and guidance across the business and support managers with the proactive informal resolution of people matters.
Work collaboratively with the Org Development team to identify, support and where appropriate deliver organisation development interventions, including; learning and capability and talent and succession. Coach and guide management on complex matters.
Support People Business Partners with the facilitation of Organisational Design, workforce and resource planning. Provide advice and guidance on the most complex people cases resulting from the change.
Proactively analysing data to highlight and hold informative discussions with managers, identifying areas of concern and find appropriate solutions in areas such as absence and performance to mitigate escalation to a formal case.
Accurately record interactions as required through the Case Management system.
Take responsibility for personal development and ensure your employment law knowledge is up to date.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

CIPD qualified to at least level 5 or working towards such.
Full working and up to date knowledge of Employment Law.
Proven experience of advising on a variety of Employment related queries and situations, interpreting and applying procedures and guidelines to achieve desired outcome in a manner proportionate to any associated risks.
Experience of working on major organisational change programmes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, use of plain English to explain policies and processes and to write clearly, succinctly and correctly.
Demonstrable track record of managing competing priorities effectively and utilising sound judgement to manage situations without compromising service delivery and outputs.
An ability to deal with and follow documented information and procedures: using initiative in problem-solving, whilst recognising role boundaries.
Proven experience of using a case management system, and ability to prioritise tasks within agreed service level timescales.The client promotes diversity in employment and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
