Job Summary:
We are looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all products we ship to our customers.
A Shipping Clerk’s responsibilities include recording every detail of the order, from packing items into containers to labeling them. They are also accountable for ensuring that each package gets shipped correctly and timely to avoid missing deliveries or lost goods!
Essential Job Functions:
Arranges shipping with various carriers paying close attention to cost
Maintains high degree of attention to detail
Receives deliveries and performs three-way match
Maintains all necessary documentation
Distributes packages within the company as required
Tracks and maintains files of all goods shipped by preparing shipping reports for managers, including proof of deliveries
Operates and maintains foam packaging system
At times must investigate discrepancies and miscounts within the shipping dock area
Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
Knowledge of 6S and its purpose
Requirements
High School diploma or GED. Recommended one or more years of experience with inventory.
Highly organized and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Patience and tolerance for interruptions and reprioritization.
Position requires fulfillment of all physical and written tasks related to Parts Receiving.
Comprehend and comply with FAA requirements and procedures around receiving.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly area.
Standard office equipment such as copier, printer, fax machine, calculator, phone and computer.
Management of ERP (Quantum) and others as upgraded.
Experience with MS Office Applications with a focus in Excel (or other computer software that may be necessary).
Experience with packaging, shrink wrapping, shipping computers (e.g., FedEx and UPS), hoist, pallet jack and hand truck.
Maintain Forklift License.
Shift requires 40+ hours per week
