£60,000 - £70,000 + £5,500 Car Allowance + Private Healthcare + Bonus + 6% Pension (increases 1% every 3 years) + Phone/Laptop + 26 days holiday (increases 1 day every 3 years)

An opportunity to join a subsidary of their business at an interesting time in their journey. For nearly 30 years this business has created a reputation in the fit-out sector. Over the past 8 years they have now created a major projects division that focuses on projects valued £2m - £15m new-builds and cut & carves. Sectors include retail, education, leisure, hospitality, healthcare, offices.
Currently turnover is at £70m and you would be instrumental in growing this. Particularly with a focus on the new-build element.
The Role
New-build £15m leisure centre in Bury St Edmunds. Continuation of work will be nationwide after this project.
As a site-based Project Manager focused on construction, your role is integral in collaborating with the end client to bring your project to life. You act as the liaison between the construction company and the local authority, taking charge of the entire project lifecycle. Your tasks range from negotiating contracts and planning the project to managing budgets, assessing risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Your adept coordination with stakeholders guarantees that school construction projects are timely, cost-effective, and aligned with the client's safety and functionality standards. By leveraging your expertise, you contribute to the creation of modern educational spaces that empower both students and educators, leaving a lasting impact.
General duties will include:
Attend project tender interviews
Produce tender documentation such as tender programmes and method statements
Review and comment on Contract documentation
Produce project protocol documentation
Arrange and chair internal project kick off meetings ensuring all aspects of the business are briefed on the details of the project
Production of Construction Phase Plan
Arrange and chair subcontractor and client meetings
Record meeting minutes
Briefing of CAD and production teams to ensure drawings are produced to specification and budget
Review and approval of all drawings to ensure accuracy before issuing to client team
Manage the project commercials on a daily basis
Assessment of sub contractor packages and negotiating, ensuring best possible commercial and programme packages are achieved
Development of project programme from tender programme to fully functioning project programme
Compile and issue Sub-Contract order documents
Set up and manage the project cost / value reporting document (CVR)
Identify and maximise cost changes throughout the contract
Extension of Time (EOT) claims
Value subcontractor applications and produce / issue payment certificates
Produce / issue project valuations
Agree variation costs with both clients and subcontractors
Agree final accounts with both clients and subcontractors
Ability to lead a project team throughout the course of the contract
Sourcing of a Site Management team for relevant projectsSourcing of a site team for relevant projects
Regular site visits to assess progress and liaise closely with site team
Production of O&M manuals
