Join an independent and thriving team of Certified Chartered Accountants, Insolvency Practitioners, and Independent Financial Advisors. Our client is dedicated to helping businesses achieve their goals, maximise profits, and minimise taxation liabilities. With over 35 years of experience, our client is expanding their team and currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Audit Senior to join them. If you're an ACCA or ACA qualified professional with a minimum of three years of accountancy practise experience in an audit role, this is the perfect opportunity for you to take your career to the next level.

As an Audit Senior, you will have the chance to lead and deliver statutory and specialist audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients. With a 90% audit and 10% non-audit split, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements. Regular client interactions will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to build strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and complete audits from planning to completion, working closely with clients and our client's team.
Prepare statutory accounts for audit clients.
Prepare corporation tax returns and directors' personal tax returns for audit clients.
Provide accountancy and advisory services to support the wider team.
Conduct pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients.
Utilise accounting software to prepare and finalise audit files for review.
Monitor and control job budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
Review the work of junior colleagues, encouraging high-quality delivery.
Contribute to the growth of the firm by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.Requirements:

ACA or ACCA qualified.
Ideally, a 2.1 degree or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in an audit position within an accountancy practise, ensuring adherence to budgets and maximum fee recovery.
Technical proficiency with experience in leading audits.
Working knowledge of accounting software, including SAPA, Sage Corporation Tax, and Sage Personal Tax.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage workload effectively.
Strong communication and advisory skills.
A team player with high standards and motivation.
