Role Description

Reports to
Head of Technical To drive delivery and continual improvement in relation to customer services ensuring customer to factory alignment with clear transparency. Drive the customer’s best practice food production standards and technical standards taking into consideration the commercial challenges of the business.

Environmental Green Accident rate/near miss reporting 1. Implementation of and compliance to technical policies
2. Manufacture of safe, legal and quality products consistently
3. Proactively collect, collate and report on relevant site data
4. Play active role in achieving site certifications where applicable
5. Supports and provides a technical service to the site teams
6. Ensure compliance with raw material and finished product specifications
7. Carry out internal and supplier audits
8. Proactively challenge for continuous improvement
9. Compliance to product surveillance systems
10. Artwork approval 1. Working safely, wearing the correct PPE, reporting accidents & near misses
2. Internal Auditing: Quality Management System, Prerequisite Programs
3. Lead service audits, Hallal Kosher and organic.
4. Manage raw materials & Supplier verification
5. Training of Operations on critical food safety, legality and quality procedures and processes
6. Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
7. Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
8. Ensuring internal and external customer requirements are achieved and continually improved with regard to products post launch and issues arising from visits and audits

9. Ensure that customer and legal requirements are maintained for compliance at all times.
10. Ensure that customer and legal requirements are maintained for compliance at all times. To ensure the successful delivery of the development cycle by providing relevant information at weekly project meetings, and those associated with our gated development process.
11. To ensure all relevant technical matters relating to customer
/ product are formally communicated to the appropriate personnel within the business.

Scope and skills/competencies required:

2. Food Safety qualifications
3. Appropriate manufacturing experience
4. Investigative, analytical and decisive.
5. Knowledge, of safety, legality, compliance and quality across site process and product range
6. Ability to proactively manage data and prioritise work loads
7. Ability to contribute to crisis situations e.g. Product Recalls.
8. Good literacy and numeracy skills
9. Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience
10. Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
11. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
12. Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
13. Attention to detail
14. Communication skills - verbal and written
15. Ability to influence at all levels
