About the Role
Are you someone who can make a difference? Be able to persuade, influence, engage and support students with their pastoral needs whilst focusing on their well-being and behaviour. We have an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Support Assistant to work at a secondary school based in Middlesbrough The successful candidate will be able to support the school in addressing the needs of students who require particular support to overcome any emotional, behavioural, or social barriers to learning in order for them to engage fully with learning in a mainstream context.

The school is based in Middlesbrough and is part of large multi academy trsut, with lots of progression and opportunities available within the wider trust.
Assignment Details
This role is to start from September 2024 for the full academic year. It is essential you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant within schools or have experience already within pastoral support working in a UK based school .

Person Specification
Have experience of supporting pupils with Special Needs either in a Teaching Assistant role or pastoral role
Be confident in working with challenging behaviour.
You must have a current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to provide a new one.
