A fantastic opportunity has recently become available for a Mental Health Support Assistant in a primary school in Oxford. The school are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

The role as a Mental health Support Worker:

To support students who struggle with their class work
Encourage positive coping strategies
Facilitate a fun and friendly learning environment
To provide support to the class teacher and help with general classroom admin
To encourage children to do their best
Help manage, de-escalate and redirect any classroom behaviour
Listen to the children read and practice their phonicsThe successful Mental Health Support Worker:

A calm and compassionate personality
Proactive
Patient
Passionate about helping children with mental health needs
You must understand the importance of safeguarding in schools
Must have an enhanced DBS Check or be willing to apply for one
Must have right to live/work in the UK - we not offer sponsorships** If you do not have a DBS certificate - we can support your application
