Procurement & Contract Director – Offshore Wind

Location: Manila, Philippines

Kintec Global are delighted to be working exclusively with a major global offshore wind developer to assist them with their expansion into the Philippines.

As part of this expansion, they’re seeking a Procurement & Contract Director to join their senior leadership team in country, operating from their new office in Manila.

Procurement & Contract Director

This isn’t a standard procurement director role. The successful candidate could be someone from a Procurement, Sales or Legal background. Providing you have high-level executive experience on high-value construction or infrastructure projects, with a solid business acumen and track record in leading negotiations, this could be the one for you.

Offshore Wind experience would, of course, be a bonus, but those from other construction, energy generation and power backgrounds will also be considered.

The Role

Developing commercial strategies, setting up high-level procurement and contract teams, and using your initiative to take important decisions

Managing the procurement strategy across all categories, establishing supply chains and overseeing a skilled team of contract managers and legal advisors

Working collaboratively with other projects and stakeholders to identify opportunities, maximise value and minimise risk

Ensuring the commercial close of project contracts and signing off final account closure of all payments and claims

Develop contract management and procurement strategies to support the project’s key objectives, including grid connection, permitting, value optimisation and achieving offtake

Your Background

A degree in commercial law, contract law, business administration, engineering or other relevant discipline

Experience working on large, high-value projects in energy generation or infrastructure

Business acumen and solid negotiation skills

Strategic thinker with an eye for detail

Ability to work professionally in English

Willingness to relocate to Manila, Philippines
