As a Production Planning Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the organisation and control of production output. Working closely with the Production Planning Manager, you will collaborate on planning and managing production tasks and ensuring timely delivery. Your responsibilities will include reviewing production plans, processing customer orders, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to complete works orders on-time and within customer specifications.

What you'll be doing:

Assisting in production activity control to meet business and financial objectives.
Planning and managing production tasks in collaboration with the Production Planning Manager.
Reviewing production plans to identify potential risks and issues.
Processing customer orders and shipments according to the planning schedule.
Monitoring the execution of works orders and adjusting planned schedules for timely delivery.
Planning equipment, material, and manpower needs for works orders.
Coordinating with the Production Planning Manager to resolve production planning and control issues.
Ensuring all production documentation is kept current.
Organising picking of materials and consolidating component parts for assembly.
Working with cross-functional teams to ensure works orders are completed within specifications.What you'll bring to the table:

Excellent computer skills, including MRP and windows-based systems.
Clear understanding of safety and safe working practises in a production and warehouse environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships.
Excellent time management skills.
High level of flexibility.
