Role Overview
As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide technical support and field services for plant installation, commissioning, equipment maintenance, repair, and operator training. While based in Wolverhampton, this role involves assignments worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the installation of water treatment plants and intake equipment.
Commission and supervise the commissioning of water treatment plants and equipment.
Undertake refurbishment contracts on customer sites.
Complete commissioning documents and conduct Site Acceptance Testing.
Troubleshoot plant issues to improve performance and drive product development.
Conduct service visits and prepare comprehensive service reports.
Perform site inspections and provide site supervision.
Conduct pre and post-commissioning surveys and report findings.
Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Identify and resolve issues (snagging and fault-finding).
Operate under a permit to work system, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Prepare and advise on Installation, Operation, and Maintenance manuals.
Be prepared to travel and work away from home, both in Europe and overseas.
Implement QM / OHSAS requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
Engineering degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
Proven experience in installation, refurbishment, and commissioning within the water processing industry, or equivalent experience in another industry with a willingness to learn.
Strong site work experience.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Full UK or EEC driving license.Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
08:00 - 17:00This role involves frequent travel within the local region and occasional overseas travel.
