Residential Home Chef

Precedo Healthcare are seeking a talented and experienced Agency Chef to support our clients in Manchester and the surrounding area.

As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food production, and providing exceptional dining experiences for the residents.

You will manage stock, be involved in the design of menus, serve delicious, well-balanced and nutritious meals and have a knowledge and understanding of allergens and special diets, eg cultural, diabetic, fortified diets, modified diets, vegan etc

You will provide a high-quality food service to support the residents to live well, be responsive to their needs and contribute to their overall wellbeing.

You must have experience of working in a commercial kitchen environment, ideally within a residential setting,

You should have an NVQ2 in Catering and Hospitality or Professional Cookery and a minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate. You must be reliable and fully competent in all aspects of kitchen duties.

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom.

Requirements/responsibilities:

NVQ2 in Catering and Hospitality or Professional Cookery
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Up to date DBS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
High knowledge of Chef Duties.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Please note we are not accepting applicants who are currently on a Skilled Worker Visa, seeking secondary employment, as we are unable to actively track the hours worked with the primary sponsor.
