Job Description:
* The agreement and the implementation of the Supplier Audit schedule for supplier approval, surveillance, or process / product approvals.
* Lead the identification and resolution of supplier non-Conforming material including corrective and preventive actions through APQP methodology.
* Setting of the department KPI’s in line with corporate targets and business expectations and ensuring KPI reviews are completed.
* Work with R&D during new product introduction to ensure that the quality department has an input into the component/assembly design to ensure that the design is matched to suppliers’ capabilities.
* Ensure that SQA NPD gate deliverables are completed within the required time frames.
* Provide direct, daily support to “keep production running” with regard to supplier quality related issues.
* Represent the SQA Dept with Suppliers, R&D, Operations and Purchasing to drive continuous quality improvements that minimize the Costs of Quality, Field Failures, and Factory defects.
* To comply with the Integrated Management Systems and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties.
* To ensure and promote safe working conditions for all employees, visitors, and contractors by implementing, monitoring, and complying with occupational health & safety provisions

* Positive & decisive with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Prepared to travel as required
* Full, clean UK driving License
Role Requirements:
* Familiarity within a Lean manufacturing environment
* Supplier Quality Experience required.
* Automotive experience (desirable)
* Knowledge of APQP processes and procedures
* Previous relevant experience in a quality supervisory role is essential
* Logical, data driven problem solving skills.
* Quality tools and techniques for managing product quality.
