Our client is currently looking for a Senior / Principle Estimator to join their team.
Job Role:
As a Senior / Principle Estimator you will be required to do thhe following duties (this list involves duties but is not limited to them):
* As the senior estimator, you will be responsible for assisting in completing construction projects by providing cost estimates.
* It is the duty of the senior estimator to liaise and follow up with subcontractors in order to ensure that bids are received, while also working with project management teams in order to follow up on bids and budgets to close the business.
* Preparing or coordinating full estimates on complex and large projects as required by client or customer’s documents
* Reviewing construction documents and understanding the scope of work to bid; obtaining bids from subcontractors, obtaining best prices for materials, and ensuring correctness and accuracy by reviewing estimates
* the role of senior estimator also entails preparing detailed analytical tenders, maintaining a library of pricing and outputs data, and assisting with the management of production, and negotiating estimates and tenders.
Required Experience:
As an Senior / Principle Estimator for our client, it is required that you hold strong main contractor construction background. It is essential that you have experience managing from 1st principles and estimating projects from £5million to £50million across a multitude of sectors.
