Service Care Solutions are looking for a passionate and experienced Family Support Worker to join Walsall Council on their Early Help team.
Contract: 3 months plus ongoing
Pay: £16.26 an hour
Location:Silvercourt,Brownhills,Walsall, WS86HA
About the Role:
This is a multifaceted role where you'll play a vital role in supporting families with children aged 0-19 who face complex challenges. You'll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing a holistic approach to address these needs and prevent children from entering care.
Your Responsibilities:
Collaborate with social workers, teachers, and other professionals to develop and deliver evidence-based interventions.
Assess family needs, identify risks and vulnerabilities, and make appropriate referrals.
Work flexibly to meet the needs of families, offering individual or group support programs.
Empower parents/carers and promote positive parenting practices.
Contribute to safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of children.
Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to service development.

A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., children and young people, social work)
Experience working with families facing complex needs and safeguarding concerns.
Experience of working with Children and young people 0 - 19 is essential
Experience of working with children, young people with SEND
The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
A strong understanding of child development and safeguarding principles.
Full UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle
