Head of Finance (Finance Director Designate)

Role Overview:

Our client is an SME specialist importer of products sold into UK and European markets. As they look to continue their growth in revenue and profitability, they have a newly created opportunity for a Head of Finance (Finance Director Designate).

Reporting to the Managing Director and shareholders, you will be responsible for developing more robust financial systems, processes and reporting to ensure the company can achieve its long-term growth ambitions. Duties will include:

* Take full financial control of the business, working with the Managing Director in formulating and delivering the Finance strategy of the business.

* Developing the robustness of financial processes, ensuring timely monthly management information and Cash Flow Forecasts are produced to aid decision making

* Act as the sole contact with their banks and look to develop their credit facility

* Ensure all international currency transactions are managed effectively

* Lead and develop the finance teams capability to ensure sustainability of improved process

Experience Required:

* A qualified chartered accountant with a minimum of 10 years working in a lead finance position for an SME

* Experience gained working in a product sales business and used to international currency transactions

* Experience in dealing with Tax issues and conversing with HMRC and auditors

* A track record of developing a small team and implementing best practice
