Tradewind Recruitment are working with a multi form entry primary school in Saltley who are currently looking for a part time SENCO to start with them after February half term.

The school are looking for a SENCO to work 4 days a week in a non-teaching capacity. They are looking for someone who has experience as a SENCO in a school setting previously and is able to com in and hit the ground running.

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Headteacher, this post holder will be accountable for
Strategic direction and development of the SEND
Teaching and learning for SEND to establish a clear and ambitious vision for SEND and pastoral provision, to draw up the Inclusion/SEND Development Plan consistent with the Improvement Plan.
Ensure whole school SEND policies translate into effective inclusive practice and are fully aligned with the SEND Code of Practice.
Represent the school at relevant meetings inside and outside of the setting, and feedback policy and practice.Qualifications and Skills

Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
Degree in related subject specialism
SENCO Qualification or previous experience as a SENCO
Experience of working with children of the relevant age range and their families in an educational setting or similar
